TCDA Student Donovan is offered a full scholarship year-round at the National Ballet School Berlin, Germany during the TCDA - International Ballet Festival 2015. Congrats!
"When I enrolled in the TCDA Intensive last summer, I had no idea that I would end up here (in Germany). I was really surprised when I was awarded the 2 week scholarship to the State Ballet School Berlin in Germany from the TCDA Ballet Festival! I was also surprised when at the end of the 2 weeks, they invited me to stay for the whole year.
The education here includes dance and academics. 90% of the students who graduate become professional dancers. In Europe, you can get a very good salary with benefits when you graduate, so kids come here from all over the world. I'm including a picture from the boarding school counter that shows the countries of the kids who are living here now.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to become a professional dancer. It is also a great opportunity just to learn about Europe and other cultures. I think this is definitely what people call a rare opportunity!
